The Genesis

CSR Good Book is the brainchild of Social Entrepreneurs Amit Sachdeva and Mugdha Arora. The book was conceptualized by Amit and Mugdha, who were looking for a book on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Business Sustainability in 2010 and after scanning through the book stores throughout the country and online book sellers, they could not find a single publication available on corporate social responsibility and business sustainability in Indian context.
They both felt the need of a publication, where one can study about social efforts and sustainable business practices taken up by organizations and at the same time can be a ready reckoner for business houses, students and scholars. They both felt that this publication is of relevance because it will advanced the public debate around CSR by acknowledging that “business functions by public consent, and its basic purpose is to serve constructively the needs of society.
